Each board is one of a kind and made from 100% Kaua'i grown Honduran Mahogany. Honduran Mahogany is a very rare tree that isn't found in most of the U.S. It originates from central South America and Southern Mexico. Honduran Mahogany grows to be about 150-200 feet tall, and 3-6 feet in diameter. Color ranges from a pale pinkish to a darker reddish brown. The color tends to darken with age. We have been growing these magnificent trees on our 6.5 acre, family farm for the the past 20 years. Each piece is hand harvested, milled, and dried on site, and coated with a food safe finish. Hanalei Spirits Logo is stamped on the bottom of each board. Boards vary in size and style and are hand made by the expert craftsmanship of our talented Papa Terry. Giving you a truly unique one of a kind piece, from our 'Ohana to yours.
